Nairobi national park

This is the only city national park in the world, the oldest of Kenya’s national parks and the first national park to be established in East Africa, Nairobi national park is unique because no other city  in the world can boast a natural wilderness, teeming with wildlife and home to over 400 species of birds; just ten minutes from the city center and its less than 5miles, An oasis of lion-gold plains, acacia-fringed rivers, leopard stalked cliffs, plunging gorges and murky hippo pools, this versatile park hosts its own wildebeest migration and is the only place on earth where you can find a black rhino grazing against the silhouettes of office blocks and skyscrapers( the park has the highest density of black rhinos in Kenya). The park also offers the safari, walk that gives a chance to explorer the natural paradise of Africa, animal sanctuary, ecological and educational facilities combined.

Attraction

Nairobi National Park is the main tourist attraction for visitors to Nairobi because of its location that makes it always become a first priority to many guests. The park attractions include the park’s black rhinoceros, diverse bird species, cheetah, hyena, leopard, and lion. However, other attractions are the wildebeest like zebra migrations in July and August, the Ivory Burning Site Monument, the Nairobi Safari Walk and animal orphanage Inhabitants of Nairobi visit the park and thousands of African children on school field trips visit the park each week.

The park’s Wildlife Conservation Education Centre has lectures and video shows about wildlife and guided tours of the park and animal orphanage. These tours are primarily but not exclusively to educate schools and local communities. There has been criticism about animals’ housing, and they now have more spacious housing in a more natural environment. The Kenya Wildlife Service has created a Safari Walk that highlights the variety of plants and animals that are in Kenya, and how they affect Kenya’s population
